Sex overrated?

It seems like it has become overrated nowadays. From the one night stands, the media, and legal prostitutes in Nevada. It seems to me that sex and all that good stuff has become much rather as a nuisance. Mainly because, at the end of the day you really can't enjoy yourself except for those few moments you have an erection. But, as for me my erection only seems to come when I feel romantic towards my girlfriend, and I have decided to NOT have sex until I am married. I've been thinking about it for sometime now, but I am came to the conclusion 3 days ago.

But, what do you guys or gals think of sex?

I'd never suggest anyone wait unitl they're married but I'd always suggest they thought about what they were doing, who they were doing it with, whether it was safe and to respect themselves and their bodies.

I would always use protection. But I think it has become less important then it once. The idea you have to respect yourself with it is out the door. More and more people are just having sex for fun. It lost a lot of its romantic, coveted, meaningful exclusivity. Younger people having sex, people being less stringent religiously, and TV like Sex and the City are probably why.

You can still respect yourself and have fun; those two ideas are not incompatible.

Why not? Prostitution is not always forced. Some women have no problem having sex with strangers and some men don't have...

If it's your decision you should stay true to it. A guilty conscience or feeling over not having accomplished a goal you set for yourself would most probably drag you more down as having sex would make you high.
I guess you doubt your decision because of the media, the common impression, which isn't exaclty a mirror of what's really going on. I think it wouldn't be rewarding for you if you let yourself get persuaded based on this.

Sex with me is never overrated.

Sexual compatibility is a big part of what makes a marriage successful. If you wait until after you're married to find out you're taking a big risk on your future happiness if you ask me.

But it's hard to think of if the women need the money to help feed their child, or pay off some bills. But, in a way it's fast and easy money, but women don't need to degrade themselves in a way making them some mere object in a man's eyes.

No, I am not persuaded to not have sex until I am married over that, I was just saying those types of things kind of makes sex seem dirty and trashy in a way. When I've had sex in the past I either: had a guilty conscience after and before, aswell as felt a little dirty after doing the deed. So instead of putting myself through those types of emotions I'd much rather just cut it off until marriage. Plus, my religion has some input.

i do think sex is over rated because i do think ppl have sex just because they can, or out of boredom.

but i've never had sex with someone i loved ...and i wouldn't think it would be overrated then because your on a completely different emotional level. but then you wouldn't be having sex....you would be making love..

to me it has to do with what kind of girls am i into i like aussie Blonde girls and red heads and Hispanic girls or you can call them latinas,a girl with black hair and brown hair does not turn me on,the nices advice i can give you mate is wear a condom,sex is nice like drinking beer with a sexy aussie Blonde girl and then makin out with her after the dinner,if i were dating Emily scott and she told me six months before we get married to have sex with her i would
