Is there any truth behind this ? I think so because I'm one of them. I'm a nice guy and I get the worst luck in the world.

What a load of crap. Guys who say they are nice guys so often seem to be bitter/angry/annoyed that their niceness isn't appreciated as much as they feel it should be. You realise bitter/angry/annoyed isn't a trait that goes with niceness?

and by that I dont mean go become a jerk. stop blaming everyone/thing else but yourself, look inside you and see what it is about youd like to change, then do it. youll be surprised at the results.

Most women are attracted to powerful guys who are extremely self-confident. There is a fine line between being a self-confident, powerful guy and a total jerk, because being very self-confident can often mean disregarding the feelings of others, including your lady friend.

This is no one's fault, it's the way we're programmed.

The real question is, at which Dark Dude has hinted, is this: Are you prepared to change your character, to pretend to be a jerk, in order to secure the affections of the kind of girl who would find jerks attractive?

Yes, Nice Guys do finish last. You can do one of three things.

1. Accept the way it is and remain the Nice Guy, and be single most of your young life until the women in your age range grows up and wants kids and a mortgage. All this is after she's been around the block and the football team retires her jersey.

2. Remain the Nice Guy and keep looking for a Nice Girl who appreciates it now. You have better odds of winning the lottery the day you're stuck by lightning, but to each his own. At least you won't have the baggage of #1.

3. Do what the Jerks do, since it works. Have fun, then find a nice girl to settle down with. Most girls seem to be more lenient toward guys sleeping around than the reverse. Maybe they expect it? Who knows.

Seems like the talk of a standout all-american(ok canadian) nice guy. The type you'd probably love to bring home to meet Aunt Jasmine down in 'Bama. Maybe not.

No offense but you don't seem to get it, listen to some of the other girls that posted. When you can open your eyes and see that there is more to relationships than being nice, then you will have taken a giant leap forward. The majority of females in the 16/24 age column are straight up scandalous. They feed off drama and in most situations consciously create it if it doesn't exist. TRUE. They are more likely to grow out of the insistance upon alpha males as they age, but not all do. Beefheart's right. There's good and bad news along with that, though. The good news is, you'll have lots of women after you when you're in your late 20's-early 30's.

The bad news is most of those women will be used-up ho bags who insisted on "alpha males" in their youth and now want a nice guy to finance their motherhood.

The other good news: Society doesn't look down on men in their 30's who haven't married yet. So use your new options to have the fun you're missing now. If you're just married at 40 or so, who cares? You're a man, you can do whatever you want.

The good guys are just too damn scared of risking rep and approaching a girl on some real s!hit. *******s have no problem approaching. That's why it appears like they constantly succeed. Good guys should grow some freaking balls and approach whomever they want to speak with.

In fact, I'm pretty sure this whole "good guys lose" thing is an American phenomenon.
