Default The "Man that is a girl now"

How do you men of FH feel about men that change their whole entire gender to the womens? Would you still go out with a person who were to under go that change? Would it still make a man gay if he were to know about the gender change and still date the man/women?

Your thoughts?

nothing productive can come from dating a person who "changes sex"...of course they really dont change their sex. they mutilate their genitals and take hormones. really theyre just freaks.

i would have nothing to do with a transgengderd whatever they want to be called

it would make the man stupid and pathetic. he wouldnt be having sex with a vagina. he'd be having sex with the insides of a man. its gross just imagining it.

I have to agreee with darko on this. Its a bit wierd. I dont think it should be done, I would never go out with a person that did that, whats worse is when someone does it and then doesnt tell there partner.

Other then the fact that you may not know who is or who isnt. If two people tell eachother and are ok with it, I could care less about what they do. The problem comes when they dont tell.

you can always tell. some can pass most of the time but they still have at least 1 quality that makes you wonder, however fleeting the thought may be.

I think its realy nasty... Why cant they just be happy about their body wich they have bin born with, why change... If they feel they are in the wrong sex's body, they can change their sex to the sex they are closest to.
I respect that.
But if some one do it cuz they want to, I think the person is nothing more than a big idiot and I woud never respect that person.

I don't know. It's never happened to me. I imagine that sort of thing would make itself known before I got so close to someone that it would become an issue.

Ive never really understood that- how can you feel like the opposite gender, when you've blatantly got no experience to say that what that feels like? It'd be like if I said I felt like a Mayan peasant trapped in an English guys body- a bit daft, really. It seems to be a suggestion that theres more to how someone "feels" than genetics, brain chemistry and collected experience, which I dont think there is.

How can someone be born in the wrong body? That the body they have, it's part of them. Maybe there's a component of social influence that makes them feel uncomfortable being who they are in their physical form, but that's not the "wrong body" that social expectations.

Is someone who's disabled, blind, paraplegic, whatever it may be born in the wrong body because they should have been in a non disabled one? They could be a champion athlete inside, but just born in the wrong body.

It makes no sense, it is what it is. It's just a form of plastic surgery to change appearance.

A friend of a friend is having a sex change operation. She tells the world. She even has a new name picked out and everything. I suppose you can do nothing but be supportive. It's not my business afterall. I'm just happy her family respected her decision, and told her that they love her regardless. It must be a hard thing to go through without their love and support.

People should learn to respect others. Some people on this board are incredibly intolerant and immature.

Because she chose it. She wants to do this, so she's doing it. She knows the risk of what she's doing. But if you're going to start talking about what's dangerous, talk about taking the bus. Everything is dangerous nowadays. If you can't support her for what she's doing, then support her because she's doing something for herself that will make her life feel whole.

Everyone is worthy of respect unless they do something that others have to suffer the consequences for.

what one chooses to do is what matters, not the act of choosing. and this is a choice that should not be supported.

she already is whole. as for her "life" feeling "whole", cutting up her genitals and shoving hormones into her body will just leave her a freakish glimmer of what she once was, in the physical sense.

you can "be born" in the wrong body. gender is not spiritual.

I don't think anyone who's never been in this situation themselves should offer anything else than support. And judging from your reaction in this thread, you've never felt the same way.

Darko... *sigh*.... you seem very uptight about this subject. Does it make any difference to you what other people do to their bodies?

Cat, I hope it all works out well for your friend. I'm sure it's not a decision she has taken lightly, so good luck to her

By the way, if any of the less enlightened posters have not seen the movie Transamerica I would recommend that you do. It might just make your hearts grow a little bigger...
