Being Single

Does anyone really like being single ? Sure you save a lot of money but it does get lonely. I hate being single as you all know.

I do have a couple friends and family no. My bro never wants to go anywhere and does nothing with me, my sis doesn't even talk to me she always out with somebody, my dad is a drunk and argues with me all the time and my mom is the only one who understands me.

Well go make some friends. Not only do you get compansionship, you don't have to buy sh*t for them like you would a significant other.

You need some hobbies and stuff edawg. I know you love your car, but the reality is not many chicks (not the great ones, anyway) go to car shows. You need to find activities where you can meet the ladies, and make a few guy friends to talk to until you find a girl worth caring about.

Would you consider doing some sort of course at night? Those kinds of places are really great to meet people, as you get all kinds of people in one room, you're forced to make friends and you all have something in common.

Good advice, I recommended the same to Samson, months (years?) ago... I doubt he did though.

A night course as in like going to a community college and taking an evening class there I think. Yeah, being single sucks I think, I don't think you can connect with other people in the same way you can with a girlfriend or a boyfriend. Of course there are bad things about having a girlfriend or boyfriend, spending money, then you might become whipped, then your friends will get pissed off at you for not hanging out with them enough etc. But I think having a girlfriend or boyfriend has more pros than cons while being single is the other way around. Or maybe I just think that way since I've been single my whole life even though I go to school and dance and the dance classes are pretty much always 95% girls and 5% guys. Then in the 5% guys there's like a gay guy or two so the odds should be in my favor but being shy sucks.

I'm not the only one who thinks being single sucks. It's just so hard to find the right person. Sometimes bad people take advantage of us lonely single guy's who have problems with dating.

..Ive just had one of the worst nights of my life, and I was all up for joinging this little pity party, but you know what? f**k that. In anything theres one thing you have control over- yourself. Sometimes you might ot do enough, sometimes you mgith go over the top, sometimes you might just f**k yourself over. Wishing other people thought differently is completely f**kin futile and just a big self hating headahe. You'ev gotta be happy with yourself, and if not do something about it differently next time. The whole "woe is me" attitude (which belive me, is really tempting right now) is just passing the buck- you might hit blackjack, you might go bust, but worrying about what might come up when youre on 4 is just daft.

If it was that easy, there wouldnt be a whole film/TV/music industry built around it- .. I dont really know where to go with this now.. Im going to find some whiskey. my point is, the "im so unlucky" attitide is just a big puddle of self dillusion. S**t might hurt, but that can come with the territory.

A night course is indeed like community college, and there are lots of different courses to choose from. You could take up a second language, for instance, or cooking, art, macrame, the list is nearly endless. If you didn't graduate high school you could even go back and do that at night.

I think I'm one of the few who'll say it, but I love being single. Yes I'd like to find a partner eventually, but until someone fantastic comes along I love the freedom of being alone.
