The 997 GT2 wins with being 0.8 secs. quicker than the LP-640 at the race track. But it chalalnegs the driver like no other, being really fast makes you sweat. The GT2 is always in motion, the boost of the engine is always there. The adjustable suspension, semi-slicks and the low weight make it a perfect and complete package. From Italy comes the counterpart: 1.8 tons of weight, 640 PS horsepower, high-revving V12 and WAD - pure fascination. Cons: narrow tires at the front axle limit the LP-640 at the track (causing some understeer). Seats also could be better. The Italian beast needs a lot of space, long straight, fast turns, that lets it explode. Here ti is more stable and comfortable than the Porsche. Remarkable: the ceramic disk brakes of both contrahents are state-of-the art, the limits are only defined by the grip of the tires. (here the Porsche again take some advantage out to the Michelin Pilot Cup Sport tires) Well ... I'm a Porsche boy, so don't ask me to choose one! ![]() But your choice is? |
