They used 8 regular car batteries and 2 small electric motors, one for the front wheels the other for the back. There not a company, just 2 regular machanics, said they would do it for anyone who brought them a small car for $5000. With the price of gas so high, things like this may become much more populare. The range of 60 miles is a big issue, it cant only be used for an intercity commute. Also if they used 8 regulare car batteries, my only guess if, like most car batteries they dont recharge forever adding a new cost that wasnt listed. | |
