| Hardly here..... ever. ![]() ![]() | The sensors in these cameras are incredibly fast, I won't doubt if it was originally used for racing. Similar sensors are used in tolls such as EZ-Pass; it can pick up your tags if you fly by. I have seen people who blew through EZ-Pass tolls doing 120+mph and the sensors still pick up the tags (no, it wasn't me). I think Top Gear tested a speed camera to see how fast they have to travel in order for the camera not to pick up the car. The speed was in excess of 170mph, chances are, you're screwed if you think you can go faster than the speed camera can react. :P |
