Default The numbers of my trip

Hi all.
11 days off are not bad, huh?
I was very tired people. Really tired and a trip to my aunt's house is the best thing to do this moment. The cousins are fantastic in a party after party. And one of them entered in the University and my uncle gave him a car as a present for the conquest. Or better, "the car"!

It's a 2005 Audi 1.8 turbo with 180 HP and 20v.

My cousin is lucky, isn't he?
This was the surprise of the year there.

ABOUT ME???

Yes, I also have a surprise exactly in the moment when I arrived at my aunt's house. The water in the cooling system boiled!
At the mechanic, he checked the system out and was broken a piece called "thermostat". This one:

The thermostat is simply a valve that measures the temperature of the coolant and, if it is hot enough, opens to allow the coolant to flow through the radiator. If the coolant is not hot enough, the flow to the radiator is blocked and fluid is directed to a bypass system that allows the coolant to return directly back to the engine. The bypass system allows the coolant to keep moving through the engine to balance the temperature and avoid hot spots. Because flow to the radiator is blocked, the engine will reach operating temperature sooner and, on a cold day, will allow the heater to begin supplying hot air to the interior more quickly. What happened to mine? Was rusted and was closed all the time! Compare:

This was the old one.

Finished the problem, me, my Vectra and some cousins went to the beach, returning on 31 for the new year party. Overall, my car moved, more or less, 3000 kilometers in 10 days: 850 for the house of my aunt, 600 to the beach and more 850 when I returned to home. And of course, there we always go to different places.

That's it people.

Happy new year and let's post in the car forum.

Welcome back! You missed JenniferNoble. Yes, she made a brief return over the holidays. I don't know if she will be a regular again.

PS. Sorry to hear your Vectra overboiled.
