Default Driving therapy

Who here goes for a drive to relax or just to think about things?

I was going out this morning and instead just decided to go for a drive. I went down the coast, always pretty, and eventually headed inland where the 100km/hr roads were. 3 hours later I came back home.

Ya, I do that a lot. Its very relaxing, to take a long drive down the beach with the windows open and some loud music on. I find it to be the most relaxing thing there is.

I also like, but only for short ways and nothing more. I mean, just to go to a friend house, say hi, and go back to home again.
And because here in Brazil we can't do that often. The gas here is very expensive.
1 liter = 2,80 reais more or less 1,30 dollars.
Too bad huh?

A short drive is just going somewhere. A 3 hour drive is just driving for the fun of it.

I always go on drives to clear my head. It helps me out alot, it's just great way to get away from the stresses you have at home,work...etc. If I didn't have my car, I probably wouldn't be hear right now.

What kind of driving do you do? I went the coast because I thought it'd be nice and relaxing but the towns and traffic disrupted it. When I went inland and could sit on 100km/hr it was great.

Next time I go coastal driving it'll be the great ocean road, winding with cliff drops to the ocean.

Sometimes I like to go to the big city and look at all the buildings and sky scrapers which are really cool or I like to drive up to the country get some nice fresh air and beautiful fields and forests. I even drove up to the escarpment a couple times. It's really high up.

Driving therapy wouldn't work around here. Bad roads, roadworks with traffic lights, a lot of villages where you can't drive fast, the lack of highways in this area forces transit trucks to creep through villages and towns. very few possibilities to overtake trucks - I don't know how that possibly could make me relaxed. My car radio with a loose contact does the rest. Every couple of seconds it switches off and than on again.
