The first official pictures have been leacked on the internet. Its official debut will be at the British International Motorshow starting next month. ![]() All the important specs should mimic the coupe, with a 507-horsepower V10 under the hood and a seven-speed sequential manual gearbox sending the power to the rear wheels. With the standard 6 Series cabrio weighing in about 400 pounds heavier than the coupe expect performance of the M6 convertible to be slightly less spectacular than the hardtop. 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds and a limited topspeed of 155 mph (250 km/h). ![]() I liked... ![]() An M6 Convertible is good to feel the wind in a fast way and to impress the girls of course. ![]() |

How so? Because the M5/M6 puts out 7 hp less than MB's E63/CLS63? Driving dynamic wise, the BMW is well ahead of Merc's. Having spent some track times in the M5 and M6, its a fabulous car. Haven't driven the E63 yet, but I've spent time in the E55 before, its very fast in a straight line, but when you're about to enter a turn, the car makes you feel very nervous. Performance isn't about straight-line acceleration. | |

Mercedes has so many classes that I find it hard for BMW to keep up with them. To me, it's not all about horsepower or who can go the fastest. It's the Legend of the Silver Arrow. Don't get me wrong, I love German automakers, but to me, Mercedes always comes out on top. It's just a matter of personal preference. |
