Hi, Welcome to the FanHost Forums. Were glad your hear and want you to to join in the discussions on this forum. This page has been created by request to make it easier for everyone to post and know the rules.

Basic Membership

• No advertisements, chain letters or pyramid schemes are allowed on our forums.
• Pease do not link to other forums.
• Do not post pornography or nudity or links to pages containing pictures of pornography, even if that pornography is in the form of an ad on that page.
• Don’t register multiple accounts, any additional accounts will be deleted.
• You need 50 posts to get a custom avatar.
• In the forums please post in English. This is so that everyone can understand each other, communicate easily, and mods can moderate.

Posting Etiquette

• Before starting a new thread, please look to see if there already is a topic discussing the same thing. Duplicate threads will locked.
• The celebrity forums are generally reserved for fans, dont be a hater, a mod will probably remove your posts.
• Use the Whatever forum for off topic or chat type discussions, not the celebrity forums.
• Do not post in all caps, as it’s considered Internet lingo for yelling. If a thread title or post is typed in all caps, it will be edited or deleted. dO nOt PoSt LiKe THiS, eItHEr (this is also known as sticky caps). Also, don’t abuse the privilege of being able to post using different font sizes and colors, or your post will also be edited or deleted.
• Do not bump threads.
• Please dont post in a thread that hasnt been active for more then 60 days unless its a sticky thread.
• Do not quote pictures.
• When posting a spoiler to a movie of TV show, use the spoiler Icon .

Posting Pictures and Videos

• Please do not hotlink when using the [img] tags, note that when you post pictures directly from another website, you’re basically using that website’s bandwidth. Every time someone at FanHost views the picture on our forums, the owner of the website that hosts the image gets charged for bandwidth use. This is known as "bandwidth theft" or "leaching". Use a text link to the picture using the [ url ] tag or upload it to an image host.
• Please use thumbnails when posting multiple pictures.
• Please do not post tagged images from Photo Agencys such as WireImage, Getty Images, Film Magic and so on. Photos with fansite or blog tags are ok.
• Do not use any "post for cash" image hosts like ImageCash.
• Do not post more then one full size image [img] per post, if posting multiple pictures use thumbnails.
• Do not post videos or links to videos of full TV shows or Movies that are copyright.
• Do not post more then 3 YouTube videos per thread page as to many may make the page be difficult for some people to load.

Conflict Resolution

• Be respectful. Not everyone is going to agree with you at all times, thats ok, just dont attack one another.
• Do not make a thread asking "why is my thread locked" or "why was my thread deleted", use Private Message and contact that forums moderator.
• Users who violate rules will receive either a minor (1-point) or major (2-points) infraction notice. Users who receive more than 6 infraction points in a 30 day period will be banned for 7 days. Those who continue to violate the rules after the 7-day ban have been lifted are subject to an immediate 30-day (or longer) ban. The infraction/ban system is automated - moderators simply assign the infraction point and the system will ban you if you have too many infractions.
• If you have a problem with anything or any person at FanHost, do not deal with it on the forums. Please send a Private Message (PM) to a Moderator or a S-Mod describing the problem, and they will work with you to try and get the problem resolved. If you have a problem with a moderator on one of the boards that you post on, send a Private Message to a S-Mod Moderator describing the problem.

Signatures

• Image signatures should not exceed 600x200 in size, should anyone have a graphic sig that exceeds that size, it will be removed by a s-mod or admin.
• Do not post offensive, degrading or rude signatures that attack other users or moderators.
• Links to nudity, other forums/message boards, sites selling things or advertising are not allowed in your signature.
• Do not post a YouTube video in your signature.

Picture Posting: How To Using ImageVenue

- First, if you find a picture online, save the picture you want to post to your computer (right click, save picture as)

Go to www.imagevenue.com,
1: Hit Browse and search you computer for the image you want to post
2: Hit "Send Files"
3: Post the code under "Forum or Message Board" into the forum thread

You can upload up to 10 images at a time with ImageVenue

Go to www.Rapidshare.com
1: Hit Browse and search you computer for the image you want to post
2: Hit "Upload"
3: Click "I dont want Collectors Account" link
4: Copy paste "Download Link" into thread

Posting YouTube: How To

1: Find URL of the video you want to post at www.youtube.com
- http://youtube.com/watch?v=epUk3T2Kfno
2: Click the YouTube Icon under Advanced Reply,
3: Post the part of the URL after the = sign into the brackets.
Example: [YouTube]epUk3T2Kfno[/YouTube]

Posting Music: How To

Its very much like the Youtube code. If you registered for IMEEM you can get a share code that looks like this http://media.imeem.com/m/GtdDiH8qZ8. Using the IMEEM Icon (under advanced reply) or the code [imeem][/imeem] with the last part of the URL called the tag. Example [imeem]GtdDiH8qZ8[/imeem]

If your not a registered user of IMEEM you can still post and listen to music it just takes one more step to get the tag. Search for the song you want to post and get the tag from the URL under "Add to Quick Mix". On most browsers ether hover the mouse over the link or right click on it and hit properties to see its URL.
