The Song of Roland

In 778 a Frankish army led by Roland was defeated by the Basques at Roncevaux Pass in the Pyrenees on the border between France and Spain, a tale retold in the Old French epic poem The Song of Roland. A translation of the poem can be found here.
(That guy anonymous sure writes a lot of stuff.)

Ooooh, thank you, I'll read that.

And as for anonymous, I find that he was a hell of a lot more prolific in the olden days, he must of got a publishing deal cause now must of the stuff he puts his name to is crap.
