I love Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris. It's a book of holiday related short stories and its hilariously funny. He is a classic smartazz. *tips hat* The first story is a true account of how he had a job once as an Elf for Santa at Macy's Dept. store in NYC for Christmas. lmfao - just the concept. I need to dig that up and re-read. Some quotes - I am a thirty three year old man applying for a job as an elf. I’m certain that I failed my drug test. My urine had had roaches and stems floating in it. Everyone looks retarded once you set your mind to it. I often see people on the streets dressed as objects and handing out leaflets. I tend to avoid leaflets but it breaks my heart to see a grown man dressed as a taco. Last edited by Ophelia : 12-05-2007 at 10:00 AM. |
