I love degas and titian too. This is such a good forum. Yeah if I'd been born a girl, I'd definitely be a ballerina.

Darcey is a total superstar in london. MOst men here worship her, but I never found her very sexy (her lithe and graceful body approximates the classical ideal of a beautiful athenian boy), although when she speaks it is admittedly one of the most charming sounds in the world. Her pirouettes are spectacular too.

BUt the standards are largely dying out in paris and london. Only the russians still do it properly nowadays. You have to train bolshoi. God look at this video.

The elevé at -3.04 they only do that nicely in moscow. The port de bras movement from -2.58 is like a god or at least an angel - just her fingers alone are pure art! HEr en pointe -2:47 is so sharp it is ridiculous. -1.52 is a gravity defying pas de bourrée couru "en arrière", you never see so smooth anywhere but with russian girls. Into the pas de bourrée en tournant (which you don't see because camera is on gay vladimir) then from -1.24 the pas de valse à huit temps, then the bourrée into the balancé en tournant at -1.07 in perfect rhythm. Then it repeats and by now I fall in love with her instantly.

I know a little ballet ( yeah typical me I just want to show off again)!

Seen her dance plus probably walked passed each other in the street without realising. WOuld love to meet her! Very glamorous and glittery, charming, talented, with perfect voice, amazing legs ect ect ect. Only a bit old and so so boyishly flat. I sound hopelessly mediterranean today.

Yes, I have done 6, 000 years of ballet. Y'all have no idea how much althetic prowess it takes.

I met Darcy and Sylvie... Darcy once almost ran me over in Covent Garden the little minx, roaring down the side of the Opera House in her jeep. I'm amazed you've never met her Moshe.

You're making me very jealous now. I want to be run over by darcey bussell too! Apparently as a toddler I had lunch on the same table as nureyev in a restaurant in barcelona. But the only thing I remember from the entire holiday is staring at a giant octopus in the fish market. At that stage in life octopuses are so much more interesting than nureyev.
