Or whatever the hell passes for journalism and that crap they call "newspapers" nowadays. This would be the thread to crap on about journalistic integrity and such other high-falutin ideas that seem to have died a hideous death of late.
I've already said this before but the definition of "journalist" is becoming blurred these days as a result of the diversification of media (not to mention general postmodernist awareness). Things are not as clear cut as it used to be and the gap between journalist and audience is closing.
Journalism isn't dead tho. Not if Chris Hitchens can help it. I really wish there was more journalists like him around. Not really. His tone, self-satisfied smugness, and love of his own vocal inflections makes it hard for me to want to pay attention to his arguments. Alexander Haig calling him a "sewer pipe sucker" is one of my favorite quotes ever.
The book "The war trial of Henry Kissinger" is great work tho.
