This interview here is pretty deep. She has shared things here that I have never heard her talk about before. It's not just admitting to having a boyfriend. Everything else in that interview is a new side of her that I haven't seen before.

There is no doubt that their relationship is serious. They've been together for well over a year now and in my opinion, once you hit the 6-month mark it is a serious relationship. Besides, why would Amanda be with someone for that long if it weren't?

Yeah I do think their public relationship is based a lot on what you (cdc792000) have mentioned above. But sometimes, it's better to lay low and not give the paparazzi fuel to throw into the flame. Once that flame gets big enough, and starts encroaching on your private life... well, at that point you wont have a private life anymore. And once that's gone, you can start to lose your mind, like some other celebrities we know. I don't blame her for lying all those other times. And I think she should continue to lie for the sake of keeping some things in her life private and avoid unwanted attention.

Why is she announcing this news now? I can't answer that for you. Maybe open32 is right and it's just because everyone knows already at this point. But just look at the whole interview, not just that part. The whole thing is basically a side we've never seen.
