I'm not here to bash Mandy Moore. I really enjoyed her in A Walk to Remember and intrigued with her role in Saved. It's just that she is not a substantial example in which an actress around this age in getting many good, successful roles. World-Wide box office, there is alot of factors that one needs to consider. The recent movie, The Golden Compass made over 300 million world-wide I believed. But New Line got very little in return from foreign markets because they sold most of the movie rights to foreign distributors. But that case may be different for Moore's recent movies. Her 2 recent movies may be considered a moderate success to the studio that it orignated. "Because I said So" I believed was considered a moderate success. Licensed to Wed, I'm rather shaky about this one. I know that the studio was dismal at the domestic numbers from the box office. I just hope Amanda and Mandy find good roles in their upcoming future, hopefully soon. |
