My verdict:
The BMW M5 Touring loses against the Audi RS6 Avant because of its dated and inconvenient gear box, with the manula transmission of the US version or a DSG it would much closer to the RS6 which handles much better. It is more comfortable to drive also due to the better transmisson and all the power and torque of the V10 bi-turbo engine being available at low rpm. The M5 feels more dynamic, makes more fun as the engine always has to be revved up to the max.
The RS6 is the better dialy driver despite the disgusting AT.
