Amanda seems to be a person who really likes animals, she loves her dogs and she has said she really like animals in interviews. She probably just did a photoshoot for them not really knowing anything about the company.

As for animal testing, its seems pointless to do if for cosmetics, but I dont know to much about it, may be the only way for some things, like a test for consumption. There website clearly lists there Animal testing policy under the headline Vaseline®'s policy on animal testing, so there not hiding anythig. It seems like all th cosmectics companies have the same thing.
Quote:
where required by regulators for safety reasons, we carry out limited tests on some ingredients and foods to ensure our products are safe and suitable for their intended use. However, we will not use animal testing when we have available either an accepted alternative test or other information that allows us to sufficiently evaluate safety.
If its for medical, on something that can really save lives, then its something else.
