What? I've always shown love for the BBC, it's probably the best "public" broadcasting network. There's a great podcast from BBC Radio called "In our Time". Topics are usually high-brow (or at least are dealt with in a high-brow manner): Theory, the Classics, Literature, Religion, Science etc. No current events. Recent shows have been about "Symmetry," Conrad's "Heart of Darkness," the Opium Wars, Borges, and "Hell." Great show.

Plus they are always correct when it comes to documentaries.

I need things like this to reaffirm my faith in life while my faith in humanity steadily declines.I think that's why I like this stuff so much. I go through life seeing a lot of the same things during my days (office, driving, home, sex, jazz) and end up taking them for granted. When you see all this incredible stuff that exists all around us, it just makes you appreciate things more. Just like 'Winged Migration'... the ability to see the places that these birds see while in flight was awesome, places that I'd absolutely never see otherwise (especially from that vantage point). It's just really cool stuff that always puts me in a good mood.
