No, the performance was in German. I've read several of Sir William's plays in both English and German, including that one.
His only drama I read only in German is Hamlet. I tried in English, but to be honest I gave it up because it was too complex for me. You know Hamlet pretends to be a lunatic while having vengeance on his mind.
Ophelia also talks like a lunatic after her father's death.
That was pretty hard for me to understand even in my native language.
