Romancing Gyllenhaal and Maguire
Natalie Portman has joined the cast of Jim Sheridan's Brothers. She'll play the wife of a soldier (Tobey Maguire) who leaves her in the charge of his brother (Jake Gyllenhaal) when he goes off to war. When Maguire's character is presumed dead, his brother and his wife become closer. Note the use of the word presumed.
The film is based on Susanne Bier's Danish movie of the same name. In the original, Portman's role was played by Connie Nielsen (Gladiator).
