My blind date with Sarah Michelle Gellar All celebrities have different interview styles, and you never know what you're going to get until you actually sit down with them face-to-face.
Sarah Michelle Gellar? The moment I sat down across from her at the Tribeca Grill, we started chitchatting like old friends. She told me about her recent trip to London, her new iPhone and a four-hour argument she had with her cell phone company over her bill. It was like we'd known each other for years and were just catching up on everything, but after a while I had stop her and say, "OK. I need to start asking you real questions now."
I don't think she was trying to distract me. I think she was just nervous. Later in the conversation, she told me, "This is one of those really intense blind dates, basically. I always wonder: Did the interviewer like me? Did she think I was nice?" The verdict: Yes and yes.
Well, there was one weird moment in our "blind date": the good-bye. After we snapped this silly photo outside the restaurant and thanked each other for the lovely afternoon, we both headed off—in the same direction! Awwwk-ward! She was running uptown to her favorite stationery shop, Kate's Paperie, and I was going to the airport. So, we sort of started up our conversation again as we walked to the corner, then we hailed two cabs and said good-bye again. So embarrassing! I hate when that happens—and it always seems to happen to me. —

Q: Which native New Yorker and actress cruises around Tribeca on this highly buffed pink bicycle, yelling "Pass!" as she whizzes by? http://www.self.com/livingwell/blogs...nk-menace.html
