About the memory problem
Maybe he can't access the file, if the server is only leased. Also think about it: The memory limit is per session! Imagine 100 lurkers eating up 2.4 GB of the servers RAM. OK that's a little exaggerated, but you get the picture. Normally no php script should need more than 16 MB, for message boards a limitation of 8 MB is common. Either the programmers screwed up or something is stealing memory. I suppose the Intellitext needs a lot of memory. Because the error message didn't appear earlier, I think a recent change caused the problem. So just changing the line would be kinda like pumping more oil into a pipeline after the pressure has dropped instead of looking for leaks.

Do you guys get that many ads as well or is it different from country to country - most services that pay for putting ads on sites do that for different companies/organisations around the world, in order to target potential customers better. Anyway, I asked myself, is it really necessary to have two popups for 888 online casino at navigation click (except the preview button for posts).
I think even a bigger problem are the ads for ErrorSafe (Winfixer's new name). Maybe not everyone knows that it's scamware - very clingy with rootkit and everything, closing the process via TaskManager won't do. Luckily the company is willing to sell you the fullversion that has an uninstall button.
The EULA is the kicker. Have they never heard the term "contrary to public policy". They actually have a point in the EULA where they claim right to uninstall software that "might interfere" with ErrorSafe (yes they mean anti-spyware tools and anti-virus-software).
Thinking about it, this explains a lot. There used to be an inflow of new members. Young fans of actors and actresses that somehow found there way here. Imagine them falling victim to those scam ads - an accidental click on OK is enough - considering the persistence and nerviness of those ads, this isn't an unlikely situation. They screw up their or their parents computer and in consequence won't visit Fanhost again.
My plea to the admins: please do something against those scam ads. I see it's necessary to have ads on this forum to attenuate the costs for webspace and bandwidth - which I guess are high with forum software that shows it's opinion of using ressources sparingly by demanding more than 16 MB RAM per session. I also know that the prices paid for placing banners aren't as high as they used to be in the late ninetees. Still isn't there a possibility to go without sponsors such as ErrorSafe/Winfixer?
