JACK IS BACK!! Day 6: 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM
Thoughts? Awesome way to start the new day. You really get the sense that some seriously bad stuff is going down, and the United States government is so desperate for solutions that they'd sacrifice one of their greatest and most dedicated heroes. That hero, Jack Bauer, after 20 months of torture from the Chinese government, is now a broken shell of a man who can't bring himself to go to the extreme measures he used to, even welcoming the release of death, because in his own words, he wants to die for something.
I won't get too spoilerish yet, but the first episode has one GREAT kill that will remind Kiefer Sutherland fans of The Lost Boys, and the second episode has a good torture scene involving a steak knife and a kneecap.
I also like how a perceived enemy may be America's only ally in stopping the terrorists this time. I hope they go more into the ethics of what both sides do as Jack's latest Very Bad Day progresses. |
