spoiler Sylar

Now that we've gotten some more information on Sylar, what do you think of him?

I think he could potentially be a very interesting villain.

When the show first started, I suspected that Sylar was killing people with powers so that he could be the only one. Then, it looked like Sylar was actually stealing the powers of the people he killed.

Now, with more backstory, we see that his original power was the ability to fix "what's broken," that he can see when something is defective and intuitively know how to repair it. Now, a couple of his victims - Brian Davis, the telekinetic, and Charlie the waitress with perfect memory - were deemed "broken" by Sylar, and in Charlie's case, we know that for a fact, because she had that thing in her brain that was killing her. Perhaps what Sylar is doing is weeding out the "broken" heroes to make room for the strong, assisting Natural Selection. A much better motive than acquiring power for power's sake.

And, if his brain can interact with a watch (as in knowing exactly how it works and how to fix it), who's to say his brain can't adapt to the brains of other people? It would explain why the brains of his victims were missing: He senses a "broken" person with powers (which could also explain why he's spared Matt and Hiro so far), then adapts his brainwaves to theirs, which would cause him to take on their powers and use them to their full potential (he's much better at telekinesis than Brian Davis was). It could also explain why he could heal himself after Matt shot him. After all, if he was broken, couldn't he fix himself?

He's sort of like Peter's evil counterpart. I really, really can't wait for the Peter vs. Sylar showdown. We all know it's coming.
