Sarah Michelle Gellar
Q: The really scary horrormovie is kinda different to Buffy, isn’t it?
A: thats why i wanted to do this movie so bad. See, Buffy had a great story and a great action kick and was great to do. But I wanted to show everybody that i can also do different movies. Like, playing a lonely nurse who has a great adventure in Japan. This movie is very important to me.
Q: It has been recorded in Japan. Nice country?
A: awesome! It has always been my dream to go there, so this movie was a great opportunity. The people are really nice and helpful. I have had a great laugh bout those weird girls in supershort skirts and weird hairdo’s. Japanese food is delicious and the city’s are also cool.
Q: what’s the funniest thing you’ve experienced?
A: we werent sleeping an a hotel, but in an appartement. Becouse Japanese people are very short, our house was also small. My suitcase didnt fit through the livingroom door. I had to unpack my underwear in the hall. You saw all the people looking: what is that crazy woman doing???
Q: could you handle the language barrier?
A: not at all! When we had to go grosery shopping, we had no idea what we were buying, we couldnt read what it said. I used to stick my finger in the wrapping to see what it was. (laughs)
Q: can you say something in Japanese?
A: Sarah murmurs something that sounds like ‘OHAI GADAI MA’
Q: great! And that means...
A: Good morning.
Q: say something more please!
A: OTSKODAI JAMA DETSKA. That means thanks for the great day, we’ve worked really hard.
Q: will you go back to Japan another time?
A: defenitely! During the Grudge we only had one free day in the week. I didnt see much of the country. Thats why i want to go back. The respect, wisedom, love, i love the Japanese culture. Its way better than Los Angeles, where everyone only cares on being trendy and looking good.
Q: did you bring any souvenirs?
A: i brought a samurai sword for my husband Freddie. That was kinda risky, because its a sword, it couldnt go out of the country. I had to promise i wouldnt use it to kill people, and finally the Japanese government helped me.
Q; and what are you going to do now?
A: NOTHING! Im free for one and a half month, so i can visit my friends and family. Some time for myself. Or i can go ice skating with my gotdaughter Kaya in New York.
Q: what’s the weirdest gossip you heard about yourself?
A: that i’m the result of artificial fertilisation. In Italy someone asked me if i knew my motherr was fertilised artificial and if i knew my donorfather. I was shocked! Ofcourse thats not true! Otherwise my parents did a great job keeping it quiet! (laughs)
