Hey guys. The question I present to you tonight is this: as a fan, have you ever said or done something in your private lives regarding yourselves being a fan of Jennifer Love Hewitt that in hindsight you regret saying or doing? To be more specific have you ever caught yourselves saying something or doing something regarding JLH where if she knew you personally and found out about it she'd be really angry at you for saying what you said or doing what you did? Here's my story.
Back between the years of 1997 and 2000 there was a computer gaming magazine called PC Accelerator. It was run by Imagine Media and had a group of editors who worked on the magazine that were horny, drunken, belligerent, undersexed, offensive, sexist, womanizing, naughty, kinky, raunchy, perverted, one of them used to get high on crack point is they were really sexually, socially bad people.
What made their mag famous wasn't just their coverage of the computer gaming world as a whole but it was also that the mag was funny but it was also something else. And that thing was they made lewd and offensive sexual comments about female Hollywood celebrities that no one else would EVER dare make anywhere else. And their most constant and prolific target was Jennifer Love Hewitt (especially for Editor-In-Chief of PC Accelerator [also known as PCXL] Mike Salmon who had a huge crush on her and according to street legend does to this day).
Now that you have some background here's what I did that was so wrong regarding this magazine and JLH. It was the night Carson Daly and JLH broke up. I was watching the KTLA Los Angeles News at 10 when I got the news of the breakup. I immediately e-mailed Mike Salmon (again he's the PCXL editor-in-chief) to tell him the news (and so did about 500,000 other PCXL fans but that's not the point). The point is I was the only one who got a reply back from him regarding his reaction to the breakup. Now a little background about Mr. Salmon. This man was engaged to marry another woman when he made this comment which left me so surprised that he'd say what he said.
His reaction to the Carson/Jennifer breakup was this and I quote: "Woo-Hoo! Time to work the phones!" That's right. This man was secretly using his connections in the Hollywood industry to set up a date with JLH at the time even though it would break up his own impending marriage.
I've felt dirty about what I did here ever since. And I know if JLH ever found out personally as of today she'd kick my ass (and so would Scott for those wondering that) for what I'd done. As a fan I put her in a situation where a complete perv was trying to get with her and even that...even if he failed (which for all I know he did) if she found out it would warrant my asskicking from her and whatever boyfriend she had at the moment. So why do I post this here and now? For one, had to answer my own question. For two, it felt good to get it out in the open in a place JLH never personally treads online. So with that, let's hear your answers to this question I posed up top. There are probably some intriguing stories to hear. Until next time I am out!
