Angelina Jolie has taken a break from her hectic movie schedule to spend some quality time with son Maddox. The pair were pictured doing a spot of shopping in Hollywood, after the actress completed work on her latest film, the comedy thriller Mr And Mrs Smith, with Brad Pitt.
She and Maddox browsed round the scented candle shop Lemontree Bungalow, before stopping for a snack of frozen yoghurt. Since she adopted the Cambodian orphan in 2002, Angelina has earned a reputation as a deeply devoted mother.
The Oscar-winning actress often brings her little boy with her when she has to travel abroad. And she says providing a loving home for the tyke is now her number one priority.
"It's an amazing thing to take care of a child and to have a child trust you and love you," she says. "That makes me feel like I somehow have a purpose. I didn't know what I would be like as a parent. I've learned that I love being a mom. If he's okay, if he's healthy, nothing else matters to me."
And the actress is even considering adopting a little brother or sister for her son: "It's this weird feeling that if I had a biological child next year, then there would be that kid out there that I would have adopted, that now isn't adopted and is living in an orphanage."
