I am in the middle of reading "Flags of Our Fathers" and I have to say that it is one of the most moving books I have ever read. I have cried several times so far. I don't want to put it down! I will probably reread it when I am finished.
Anyway, I think that there is a part that would be absolutely perfect for Josh. It's the part of the senior officer, Mike Strank, who, by the way, was only a mere 24 years old. Josh could definitely play 24. On a forum for the book, they are suggesting Matt Damon for the role. Although I love Matt, IMO he just doesn't fit, plus, he's a bit too old at 33. I thought about registering on the forum to suggest Josh for the part, but I didn't. I'm afraid they will once again say that he is "too pretty" to play this tough but much admired and respected hero.
Oh well, I can still hope. Maybe all the casting hasn't been done yet. Anyway, Josh would probably not even be interested in another high profile, big budget film! |
