Jennifer loves the paparazzi?

This must be a first -- a Hollywood celeb who actually likes paparazzi.

Jennifer Love Hewitt says she has ``met lots of really nice ones who are lovely people.''

In an interview with Access Hollywood, she said: ``Paparazzi should not be lumped into the group of these monsters who treat people badly.''

She told how one photographer recently rescued her when her car broke down -- and didn't take advantage of the situation to get a shot of her.

``He ran and got me a tank of gas for my car so I could drive to the gas station.''

But she allowed that not all her experiences with celebrity photographers have been good.

``I've met a lot of them that are frankly kind of scary and push the limits and get too much in your face. I think a law to protect celebrities from the ones that are not so good may not be a bad idea.''
