Teen actress and pop star Hilary Duff says she was happy to star in the new Hollywood movie A Cinderella Story because it was her favorite fairy tale.
When I was growing up, 'Cinderella' was, of course, my favorite fairy tale, the 16-year-old Texas native recently told reporters. I think it's every little girl's favorite fairy tale. I was really excited when I got the script and it's all modern-day and updated.
Asked what aspect of performing she finds most satisfying, the Lizzie McGuire star and So Yesterday singer replied, Definitely singing.
"When you're on stage and you have a sold-out venue of 15,000 people and they all know every single word to your songs and they're holding up huge signs and freaking out, it's just like: Oh, my God! The support you're getting from them and the energy!
But then also you feel a very accomplished, rewarding feeling when you finish a movie and you're like, 'Ok, I did it.' But the singing definitely gives you more energy.
