Well there's no harm in having to buy something. In a way it weeds out the people who are just standing around and gawking. This is exactly what many celebrities do at convention signings and there's really nothing wrong with charging money and in this case you got a nice item too. Can I project that there wasn't any JLH items on that table and just Jamie's swag? That would make much more sense since Love has never asked for something in return when it comes to signing or taking a picture with fans. I can certainly understand her having a different angle in such an unusual environment as a comedy club event where her boyfriend is performing. It's a neat way for Jamie to sell his wares very quickly and for fans to meet two stars at the same time.
I've seen small clips of Jamie's standup routine. Did he deliver some of his "adult" material onstage? I doubt Love would ever get as nasty as Jamie.
