Richy, I am so, so sorry to be the one to have to break this to you, but Canned didn't get picked up which means that the network DID NOT choose it to be one of the shows on the fall schedule. We are very upset because Amanda went to so much trouble to be a part of this show and now it will never air. I know this seems like a very sad time to be an Amanda fan but, as I said before, I honestly feel like we are on the brink of great things from our girl. Maybe this will be the wake-up call that causes her to consider her career more seriously and actively pursue more challenging and rewarding parts in major and independent films. I am a huge Melissa Joan Hart fan, and I was very hurt too when Sabrina, The Teenage Witch was canceled and she had to resort to doing movies with no budget and no stars (Ok, you MIGHT be able to call Carmen Electra a BIT of a star) and really bad tv movies. Just as with Melissa, I know without a shadow of a doubt how talented and intelligent Amanda is so there HAS to be some casting agents who will take note of that and recommend her for parts to her talent agency. Let's just all hang on and try to stay hopeful! I know that I have said that very thing many times before in the last few years, but there is still the possibility of Hairspray 2 and many more projects that might come her way. Or, she could just go back to being a fashion maven and resurrect her Dear brand. Either way, I am still so very proud of her and what she has accomplished at a very young age! |
