Uh, this is really a tough one. In a way I agree with you UCLA, but then again, she isn't 100% Latina if I'm not mistaking, isn't her mami French/Dutch? If she doesn't know Spanish, it's probably because her dad didn't bother to get her invovled with the Mexican/Hispanic culture. I for one, yes, both my parents are Puerto Rican with pride, I was born in Puerto Rico but raised in Jersey, I speak Spanish and eat my rice and beans once in a while of course :D but I don't think she should take all the blame. If you were to look at it this way; Jessica representing the Latinos all the time, the Euro/Caucasian race are probably going to think the same way you're thinking, UCLA. It should be balanced, I agree, but then again, did the father's side of the family teach her to have pride? I guess it's obvious that she must be at least part Hispanic because of her face, so in a way I understand why the Latinos may dislike that she doesn't represent, but hey, what can we do about it? ;)
