The story behind that "lapdance" scene with Shawn Desmond was that Bille Woodruff (her friend and director) gave her a drink before they did the scene. So in reality, she was a bit uninhibited and less reserved in doing that little jig in hardly any clothing.
I wouldn't say she was drunk though. Can't have that.
