It's in FLV format because for some reason it's unconvertible and it has a few seconds missing from the end. VLC plays it just fine though.
A new version of VLC was released recently which handles FLV's wonderfully with seeking capability (which wasn't available in the previous version). I recommend uninstalling any older version of VLC and getting the new one from here:
